Dots

My story

A volunteer writes:Dots is a cute little tuxedo boy, a youngster who is with us as his house counted  too many kitties. He is a quiet and shy oreo cookie who for now likes to stay at the back of his bedroom where he makes himself small in the hope I will ignore him. He is a tinsy winsy more relaxed after a few days spent at the care center, samples some Temptations and accepts dutifully some petting. Dots never swatted or hissed at me and he was even a good boy with the veterinary team. Dots is a gentle and sweet young cat who for now, seen his history of not having been exposed to many people, needs a quiet home and a gentle new owner who slowly will have him meet the world. If you want to give Dots a chance at a new life as a cherished pet, come and meet him very soon at the Manhattan Care Center.What my friends at ACC say about me:Dots was in the den facing front in a hunched position with large pupils and appearing fearful. He didn't sniff treats, but he did allow petting on his cheek, head, and along his back, but with a tight body and without appearing to appreciate the petting and didn't react to it. He will benefit from a patient home and a gentle introduction.Dots tolerates attention and petting but appears to be moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that he go to a home with some cat experience preferred and be well counseled in fearful cat behavior.
