My story

Skylar & Bella are Courtesy Listings and are not housed at the Animal Shelter. Please note that the City of Bloomington Animal Care & Control accepts no responsibility for these pets. Potential adopters are responsible for communicating directly with the pets' guardian.Skylar is a male husky border collie mix and Bella is his sister. Skylar and Bella were born August 2, 2019 and they will be six this year. They are the sweetest dogs. They have never been separated and must go to a home willing to keep them together. They love to go and play at Ferguson dog park and make friends with every dog there. They know commands and they listen very well, but they will need to be leashed anytime they go out because they like to explore as huskies do. They have never had any behavior issues regarding another animal, children, or cats. They are very patient with my kitties but if they see one running outside they will be intrigued and possibly try to chase it. They will love anyone and everyone after a matter of minutes and know no stranger. I got them when they were puppies and they have never been separated. They love to play and chew on bones but they also know when to lay down and be cuddle bugs. They have been groomed before but since being rehomed they do not enjoy having their nails done, Bella's can be done but it is a difficult process and Skylar was not able to calm down enough to let the groomers do them. I had them for three years before I had to make the hardest decision to rehome them as I was moving to Iowa and was in a toxic situation. I rehomed them to a great home but she then rehomed them after two years to a home three hours away. In December of 2024 I found out they were being neglected and ended up having to pay $600 and drive three hours up to get my babies back. I currently live with my spouse and his two dogs and one is not good with others. We both work all day and have to rotate our babies and they are not getting to run or play or be out of their bedroom for more than a few hours a day. They truly deserve to be able to run and play as they want to. They really will be your best friends or your children's best friends. If you would like to inquire into adopting this pet, PLEASE TEXT or CALL 812-578-9732***Please ignore the Apply to Adopt button for this pet & contact the owner directly***
