My story

You can’t say it plainer than his name—Xavier is looking for a new home!Psst…Xavier (meaning “new house” or “castle”) is a beautiful chap who is ready to find his loyal human subjects. Having been rescued from a life on the streets, Xavier found his way into our care from another municipal shelter. ABOUT XAVIER:-In foster-Young, domestic shorthair, male-Xavier is still decompressing from the changes in his world, finding safe spots throughout the day and using the cover of night to explore his environment-Since arriving, he’s discovered that he enjoys receiving affection with a back-scratcher, and on occasion some chin scritches by hand. -Xavier is a skittish cat who has had minimal experience with humans. -With the help of a foster family, Xavier is on a journey to adapt to a new environment and become more comfortable around people.-Some skittish cats may remain reserved, while others may express their trust and affection in a variety of ways.-Xavier will be neutered, and is microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.XAVIER’S IDEAL HOME:-A skittish cat will benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without small children. -We aren’t sure yet how Xavier feels about living with feline companions or other pets.-Potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Xavier settle into his new environment.
