My story

Meet Sharmaine, a 1-year-old female with a gentle heart and a shy smile. She can be a little hesitant at first—crouched posture, low tail—but she warms up quickly with patience and kindness. During a dog meet, she started off unsure but soon loosened up and ran around happily once play signals were exchanged. Sharmaine is affectionate once comfortable, often nudging for pets, staying close, and even climbing into laps. She doesn’t seem to know basic cues yet, but her sweet nature and eagerness to connect make her a quick learner. Fast movements and new items can startle her, though she recovers well with reassurance. We recommend a home with older kids and that all family members meet her before adoption.
