My story

Romeo, oh Romeo… where fore art thou home-eo?This 2-year-old Boston Terrier mix is looking for a leading role in someone’s life—preferably as the only pet in the spotlight. Romeo is a total catch (pun absolutely intended) when it comes to fetch—he lives for the thrill of chasing his tennis ball and would gladly make it his full-time job. With the people he knows and loves, he’s silly, loyal, and super affectionate. But new folks? They make him nervous, and when Romeo gets scared, he can react in ways that aren`t so charming. He`s working on it, though, and he’ll need a patient, adult-only home to help him keep up the good work.He’s not interested in sharing his kingdom with cats or other dogs—he’d much prefer to soak up all the love (and snacks) for himself. Speaking of snacks… Romeo’s got a little extra cushion around the middle, so he’s hoping his new family can help him get back to his fighting weight with some healthy meals and lots of fetch-fueled cardio.If you`re looking for a loyal best friend with a dramatic name, a big heart, and a love story in the making—Romeo’s ready to sweep you off your feet (and probably drop a tennis ball in your lap).Our shelter is open Tuesday-Sunday from 12-4 (closed Mondays).
