With her striking black fur coat and golden eyes, Basil is quite the beauty. But beauty is only fur deep. She's the kind of cat who loves to snuggle with her people and can be found making herself at home on your chest or rubbing gently against your cheek. She's accustomed to living indoors with a Jack Russel Terrier and they peacefully coexisted. She also lived with two children, one 2 and one 8. The toddler was a bit too much for her to tolerate, but she did well with the older child. Basil relishes head and neck pets but keep a distance from that tail region. Too personal! She likes to pounce and play with hands a lot, but is easily distracted by toys, especially feather toys. If you're looking for a beauty who loves her people, Basil might be the purrfect match for you! Change is hard for this cat. This cat will be very nervous when you first bring them home. You will need to set up a room with a litter box, food, and water. It will take days for this cat to become comfortable and confident in the new home. This cat will be going home with a behavior plan that will need to be followed in order for everyone to transition successfully.
