My story

I am Coal, and let me tell ya, finding me in your stocking on Christmas morning would be the best gift EVER. I actually got my name because of my gorgeous dark sable coat, but you should know I’m on the nice list - the very tip top of the list! I am an enthusiastic guy who loves my people deeply. I was in a loving home once before, but then there was a divorce, and well, here I am. That’s okay, though, because maybe I’ll find even more people to love. I’ve spent time in a foster home and loved to romp and play with their other dog. I had kids in my last home and LOVED them, but sometimes my enthusiasm is too much for small tots, so older kids or an adult-only home would be ideal. I am housebroken and just need a week or so to settle into a new routine. I’m VERY intelligent and know sit, come, down. I’m so smart that I could easily climb a fence, so a secured yard or leashed walks would be great for me. I would give anything to have a family to love again. Let’s meet!
