My story

Cooper is a sweet, snuggly goofball who loves being close to his people. He’s loyal, cuddly, loves leaning against your legs for scratches, and is happiest snuggled on the couch with a comfy blanket. A bit of a couch potato at heart, he also enjoys walks and playing with his kong toy.Smart and eager to please, Cooper picks up routines quickly and does well with structure. He`s house trained and will usually let you know when he needs to use the restroom by going to the backdoor. He’s learning not to beg for human food and is doing great with positive reinforcement (especially when treats are involved). He can be a little vocal when startled or excited, but he’s making progress with better habits when reassured he`s safe.Cooper loves training with treats. He knows a few commands like sit, wait, come, and shake. He`s open to learning a lot more!Cooper is learning to sleep in his kennel at night, though he much prefers to sleep snuggled in his human`s bed. He handles short alone times during the day in his kennel without much fuss. Though raised in a quiet home with all the attention, he’s adjusting to a livelier house with more people and another dog. He does well on walks, calmly greeting kids and people. Although he doesn`t meet many dogs while on leash, he does seem curious when he sees them.Cooper`s previous owner passed away suddenly, so he is adjusting to change. He was used to being the center of attention and is looking for a loving home where he can chill, play, walk, cuddle, and be your loyal sidekick. He’ll make a wonderful companion for anyone ready to share their couch and their heart.
