Scallop is a brave little kitten despite her medical condition, Scallop remains curious and full of kitten charm, just waiting for the chance to thrive in a safe and caring environment. With a bit of time, treatment, and TLC, she’ll be well on her way to recovery and ready for adoption. Fostering Scallop now means giving her the care and comfort she needs to overcome this temporary setback and blossom into the healthy, happy cat she’s meant to be!Reason for Foster: Ringworm Foster Time Frame: 2-3 Weeks (The foster time frame could be longer depending on future rechecks and medical needs.) Foster Care Plan: Scallop is being treated for ringworm which is a common fungal skin infection. This can be contagious, so it is recommended that they be kept in a room away from other pets. Be sure to wash your hands and change clothes after interacting with them. A room without upholstered furniture or carpet is ideal. This kiddo will need regular lime sulfur dips and will go to foster with antifungal medication. We will provide a medical consultation at your pickup to ensure you are prepared to take great care of this little one. Visit this link to learn more about fostering a pet with ringworm: https://operation-kindness-foster.my.canva.site/ringworm-foster-guide Foster to Adopt Program: Scallop is available for our Foster to Adopt Program, which allows pets to be placed with prospective adopters before they become available for adoption. If you’re interested in fostering, please visit https://www.operationkindness.org/foster/ or email us at foster@operationkindness.org to learn more!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Scallop, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
