My story

Sutton is a 10 month-old hound mix with the most soulful eyes and a whole lot of personality packed into her petite 33-pound frame. Though she was initially very shut down in the shelter, Sutton is starting to truly blossom in her foster home—and let’s just say, she’s making up for lost time! This girl has discovered the joy of zoomies and fully embraces her playful side. Sutton lovesss other dogs and gains a lot of confidence from their presence, so a home with a canine companion would be ideal. She’s also quite the jumper, so either an attentive adopter or a yard with a tall, secure fence will be necessary to keep her safe. As a true hound mix, Sutton isn’t shy about sharing her opinions—especially when crated or left alone. Her future family should be ready for a little hound-style “singing” from time to time! Sutton is still very much a puppy and is looking for an adopter who can be patient, understanding and committed to providing structure, routine and positive reinforcement. With the right guidance, she’s going to be an incredible lifelong companion.
