My story

Birdie – The Shy, Sweet GirlMeet Birdie, a tenderhearted pup with a quiet spirit and the sweetest soul. She might be a little shy when you first meet her, but with a few ear scratches and some tasty treats, you`ll start to see her gentle personality bloom. Birdie is gaining confidence day by day, thanks in part to the support of her friendly dog roommate and the discovery that belly rubs feel pretty great. She`s still figuring out the joy of tail wags and toys, but a squeaky one might just be the key to unlocking her playful side.Birdie is searching for a patient, loving human who understands that the best things in life often take a little time. She may not quite grasp the concept of a leash yet, but she`s curious and eager to learn with a gentle guide by her side. If you believe in rooting for the underdog and have a heart big enough for quiet triumphs, Birdie could be the perfect addition to your family. She`s not just looking for a home—she`s looking for a second chance to bloom.She has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in her new home.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match!  Check out her playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too.
