My story

💃 Meet Nina – Your New Workout Partner & Best Friend! 💥Nina is a 1-year-old, 42-pound Pitbull Terrier mix who’s got more energy than your morning coffee! This happy-go-lucky girl was surrendered to the shelter through no fault of her own—her previous owners couldn’t bring her to their new home. They tell us she’s housebroken and was a regular at the dog park, so she’s already got a solid start! When Nina sees you? Oh, you’ll know. Her whole body wiggles with joy—she’s super excited to make human friends and just wants to be part of everything you do. She’s very much still a puppy in behavior: jumpy, wiggly, bouncy, and full of love (and maybe a little chaos). Let’s talk walks: Nina will pull like a freight train and could absolutely benefit from leash training. She’s strong, eager, and wants to explore every inch of the world all at once. But she walks calmly past other dogs and hasn’t shown any aggression in the kennels—just friendly curiosity. Nina needs an active, committed home that’s ready to help her channel her energy through exercise, mental stimulation, and consistent training. She’s not a fit for homes with young kids—she’s just too boisterous right now and might knock them over in her excitement. She has been in group play with other large dogs and done wonderful. If you’re ready to train, play, and love this enthusiastic sweetheart, Nina is so ready to be your loyal adventure buddy. She has the potential to be an incredible companion with the right structure and lots of positive attention.
