My story

“Raimu” is the Japanese word for lime, one of the humblest yet most versatile fruits! Lime makes everything a little better; a squeeze adds the right amount of zing to many dishes and key lime pie may be one of the all-time best desserts. We have a sweet boy named Raimu who is also understated and may be overlooked, but who will make a great addition to a family. Raimu is a sensitive boy who is showing his courage and sweetness. Here’s what his volunteer friends have said:“Sweet boy Raimu has improved so much since I last took him out a couple of weeks ago. He greeted me in his kennel with a happy wagging tail and a relaxed body. I was able to leash him easily. He had a good time relaxing with his kennelmate in a play yard and even enjoying some petting at the end! What a good boy!”“I took Raimu out to the lake tonight. He was a little nervous in the kennel but when I opened the door he came up to sniff my leash and I was able to leash him up. After we got out to the lake I sat down with him and he also accepted touch and pets. He did fine walking, only pulling a bit at the beginning.”“Raimu is such a wiggly happy boy these days and has definitely overcome his initial shelter shock!! He’s bouncy, goofy, and always happy to get some time out of his kennel. Just a happy, bubbly boy who will make a great companion!” Raime shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been social and tolerant when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He came to the shelter as a stray so we don’t know about his history; he’d love to find a family who will take things a bit slow and who will help him build confidence in a new environment.Raimu is ready to head home where he can decompress from the stress of the shelter and settle in with a loving family. We can tell that he has so much love to give, he just needs a chance to can shine!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt RAIMU*, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
