HIGHLIGHTS:- May require another confident dog in the home to help build his confidenceMeet Yoda – A Sweet, Shy Boy on the Fluffiest Comeback JourneyYoda is a 1-year-old Terrier/Heeler mix weighing 35 pounds, and he’s on a mission to grow back both his hair and his confidence. This sweet guy came from a rough situation that left him with some hair loss, but don’t let his current “naked man” look fool you—his soft, fluffy coat is already making a comeback, and so is his spirit!Yoda is a timid and gentle soul. He may not be the first to run up for pets, but he watches the world with curious eyes and warms up a little more every single day. He`s slowly discovering how nice people can be, and once you earn his trust, you’ll see the soft-hearted pup behind the shy demeanor. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and really comes to life when he`s playing in the yard with his dog friends. Because of this, Yoda may benefit greatly from having another confident pup in the home to help guide him and show him that it’s okay to be brave.Yoda loves to run, explore, and enjoy the fresh air—and his playful side is beginning to peek through more and more. With a patient, understanding family and a calm environment, he’ll continue to grow into the joyful, loving dog we know he’s meant to be.If you’re looking for a gentle-hearted companion with a goofy name, a growing coat, and a whole lot of potential, Yoda is ready to start his next chapter—with you. Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with time and a gentle approach, most of these dogs adapt quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is incredibly rewarding. To learn more about our dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Yoda, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
