Wanderer - Front Declaw

My story

Say hello to our sweet Wanderer!Wanderer is a seven year old female front declaw cat, who is searching for that perfect person, or family, that can give her the love and help she needs! This little girl is a special case of ours here at the shelter. She is fully deaf, and she will tell you that with her loud vocalizations. We can`t blame her for being a little noisy, she doesn`t know her own volume! Wanderer is also a little bit of a clumsy girl, hence her namesake. She has an atypical gait, mostly in her back legs, and has the tendency to get mild head tremors. This may be a little concerning to see at first, but don`t worry it is not currently affecting her quality of life one bit. However, this will be a condition that requires monitoring with you and your veterinarian in case it does require further treatment in the future. Medical quirks aside, Wanderer is a deeply affectionate and outgoing cat. She will approach anyone she sees and greet them with a soft little headbutt and her signature noisy hello. Wanderer`s purrfect home would be one where she can curl up in a soft spot next to her favorite humans and relax her days away. Noise doesn`t bother Wanderer one bit, however a lot of movement and activity can be stressful for her, so we believe she`d do best in a lower traffic home. We don`t know if Wanderer has lived with other cats previously, but with her outgoing nature we believe she shows potential to do well in a multi-cat household. However, we highly recommend slow introductions between Wanderer and any potential feline family members. Because of her special needs she will likely need a bit of extra time to feel safe and comfortable adjusting to the presence of her new kitty siblings.
