Meet Chloe! The shy sweetheart with a heart of gold and the softest little wiggle when she’s happy to see you! Chloe is a certified couch potato by day and a loyal bedside companion by night—she sleeps curled up in a chair right next to her foster mom. She’s fully potty trained and loves her daily walks (especially when she gets a little roaming room on the leash)! Crates? HARD pass. After her first night, she politely said, “No thank you,” and has been living her best crate-free life ever since—with zero issues! She’s quiet, non-destructive, and just wants to be close to her people. Chloe is on the skittish side, especially with loud sounds, new faces, and most men. She’s had brief visits with grandkids (ages 6, 12, and 16) and handled them like a pro—no barking or growling, just a little wide-eyed at their sudden moves. However, we think she would do best in a home with a fenced yard and older children who can be respectful of her needs. She warms up slowly, but once she trusts you? Total cuddlebug. She even snuggled up to the oldest grandson (aww!). She’s dipped her toes into the “dog social scene” too—when her 50 lb grand-dog cousin came over, she was chill. Chloe would thrive with a gentle, calm doggy buddy in her forever home. Chloe is just beginning to discover the joy of toys (stuffies and tennis balls are growing on her!), and her activity level is low to moderate. She’s got the cutest little trot when she walks and a charming tail wiggle that’s impossible not to smile at. Food? Yes, please. Treats? Meh, maybe. But cuddles and pets? ALL DAY. Ideal Home: Calm, quiet, and patient. A home where she’s gently introduced to new people and where there is little commotion, fast movements, or loud noises. A fenced yard would be great, along with a doggy friend to help her learn more confidence! Someone to help her keep blossoming, show her what fun toys are all about, and remind her every day that she’s safe and loved. Chloe is the kind of dog who gives her whole heart once she feels secure. Trust us—it’ll be really hard to let her go. Bring tissues for her foster mom when you adopt her! Chloe has an adoption investment of $500. Chloe's higher adoption investment does not mean we value her life more than others. We do not see dogs like Chloe enter our care very often. Therefore, her higher adoption investment will help create a financial legacy for the dogs that stay in our care for longer periods of time or require significant medical investment.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Chloe, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
