PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! LINCOLN and his siblings (CLARKE GRIFFIN, RAVEN REYES, BELLAMY BLAKE, JOHN MURPHY and OCTAVIA BLAKE) were saved in Menifee, California. The couple saved the kittens and got mom fixed. They fostered them till they were ready for us to take them. They were all named after the show The 100. Meet LINCOLN, a sweet and snuggly, Cornish Rex Bombay mix from Menifee, California, whose velvety black coat and round, gentle gold eyes are matched only by his oversized heart and love for cuddles. LINCOLN is the very definition of a lap cat—he’s not just fond of affection, he thrives on it. Whether you're curled up on the couch with a good book or binge-watching your favorite shows, this chubby little cuddle bug will happily park himself on your lap—or chest, or shoulder—wherever he can be closest to you. He’s the kind of companion who melts into your arms and purrs like a tiny motorboat, making you feel like the most important person in the world. True to his Bombay roots, LINCOLN has a sleek, panther-like charm and expressive golden eyes that seem to know exactly how to win your heart. And thanks to his Cornish Rex heritage, he sports soft fur that’s as unique as his personality—low-shedding and wonderfully warm to the touch. He’s an elegant blend of beauty and bounce! LINCOLN is also a playful spirit who loves to bat at toys, chase feather wands, and explore every nook and cranny like a little shadow detective. He’s especially happy when he has feline friends to romp and snuggle with. In fact, he’s incredibly social with other cats and would love to find a home where he can have a whiskered companion or two. Despite his kitten-like playfulness, LINCOLN has a mellow, easygoing vibe that makes him a joy to have around. He adapts easily to new routines and would be a great match for a relaxed, affectionate family who appreciates both companionship and a little mischief. He is about 11 months old. He has lived with cats. He has never been around children and is non-reactive to cat friendly dogs. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview 5. Will be notified of Approved Application 6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED) 7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty 8. Sign Adoption Contract 9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH) 10. Take the Kitty Home ********* MAY CONSIDER OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS NEAR CALIFORNIA BUT BE AWARE THAT WE WILL NOT SHIP. ADOPTER WILL NEED TO PICK UP********** APRIL 2025: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees. Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning ONLY. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 5 pm - 8 pm (Monday thru Saturday) and Sunday 3 pm - 6 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location, email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3-hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability and store hours. Store hours change with holidays. ******************* If you call the PETSMART location, please ask them to physically check the cattery door for the current week's VISITING HOURS. ****************** The kitties at foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do the OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below. PETSMART in City of Industry, California off Colima Road in Murrieta, California off Madison Avenue in Hemet, California off Florida Avenue in Palm Desert, California off Monterey Avenue The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done. Gas donations always appreciated! ************* Please no calls to the rescue. No one is available to take calls. ************ If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption. We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient. LINCOLN is ALREADY fully vetted. The adoption fee of $200 covers: Neuter FVRCP shots RABIES shot FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative) Drontal Dewormer Stronghold Flea Control Microchip We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens.
