My story

Meet CAPRI - our little sip of sunshine! Capri (short for Capri Sun) is a sweet burst of joy. Just like that iconic pouch of childhood goodness, she’s guaranteed to put a smile on your face.  As of April 5, 2025, she is 8 weeks old and ~5 lbs. We don’t know her exact breed but we do know her mom and she is about 30-35 lbs and appears to be a lab/golden retriever mix (it's presumed she could be of similar size full grown). Please note that Capri is a sato from Puerto Rico, which means she's a mix of many breeds. Waggytail cannot guarantee the full grown size or exact breed of any of our puppies. Of her siblings, Capri is the chillest and sweetest of the bunch. She is a pup who loves to relax in her foster’s lap, taking a nap or getting cuddles and kisses.  As you can tell from her photos, Capri has soulful, sweet eyes. She is just too cute to resist! Capri makes us smile from ear to ear with her happy and cuddly personality! She absolutely loves toys, and loves to wrestle with her siblings! Capri is great with other dogs and loves humans! She has known only kindness and love from her early days when she and her siblings were found on the side of the road in Puerto Rico (PR). She remains in PR but will be making the journey to NYC soon!  Her potty training is going well. She sleeps through the night without a peep and actively goes into her crate when she’s tired. Capri is young and therefore would be good with cats. She would also be good with kids! Capri Sun is will be scheduled for spay, DHPP & Lepto Booster, microchip implantation, and rabies vaccine. Should she be adopted before then, her adopters will be responsible for bringing her to and from this appointment. Waggytail Rescue will cover the cost of this spay appointment but any other vet appointments will be the adopters responsibility. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available.
