KIWI

My story

Sweet, sensitive Kiwi may take some time to blossom in a new environment, but he has a soft heart and wants to be your friend. Kiwi does great in a more close one-on-one relationship with his person. Kiwi lost his Dad because he had to move in with family and could not keep him. Kiwi was much loved and a real cuddle bug with his Dad, plopping into his arms for a loooong snuggle while he's watching TV or playing video games. Pure bliss! With strangers, however, Kiwi can be reluctant and needs time to get to know someone new. Once he connects with someone though, he will be your best friend. Kiwi is a big kitten at heart and loves to play with reckless abandon! He needs daily interactive play with wand toys to feel happy and get his energy out. He is exciting to watch and really gets into his cat mojo when he plays. It's important that after robust play, Kiwi has time to settle back down. If he's still wound up from play he may give you a gentle nip or swat if you try to pet him. So, don't forget the cool down portion of your play sessions! Kiwi has lived with small dogs and been very respectful and friendly toward them. If they are playful, he is all in! However, he's never been around big dogs and might be scared by one who is active and playful. Kiwi has not lived with another cat, but I imagine he could enjoy their companionship, especially if they are playful, given a proper introductory period. Kiwi is used to kids age 10 -12 and enjoyed playtime with them, but has never been around young children and a toddler may very well be too much for his more sensitive nature.Kiwi is a special kitty and wants to be your best friend! All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
