My story

Damsel is a 3-year-old, 15-pound mutt who came from a hoarding situation and is blossoming in her foster home. Once a timid girl, she now follows her people from room to room, seeking companionship and comfort. She loves curling up next to her humans, asking for gentle pets, and offering a few sweet kisses in return.Though still learning how to play, Damsel has started wagging her tail and enjoying bones and toys. She is incredibly quiet—she hasn’t barked at all! While she doesn’t engage in play with other dogs, she gets along well with them and even cuddles up with her smaller foster sibling on the couch or at bedtime.Damsel has a special fondness for her foster dad, eagerly waiting by the door to greet him when he comes home. She is very gentle when taking treats and has shown excellent house manners—no accidents and she goes to the door when she needs to go outside.This sweet, delicate girl is ready for a loving home where she can continue to grow in confidence and feel safe and cherished. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it.
