Approx DOB: January 2023 Meet Buddy – Your New Shadow and Sunbeam Goofball If you're looking for a cat who wants to be your actual best friend—not just the aloof kind who tolerates your presence—Buddy might be your guy. This sweet, curious, and slightly ridiculous young cat will follow you from room to room like he’s on a secret mission to supervise your daily life. He doesn’t want to be in your lap, but he does want to be in your business. All the time. Buddy loves being near his people. He’ll often hop up next to you on the couch or bed for a cuddle session—on his terms, of course—but when he’s feeling snuggly, it’s truly the best. He’s mostly a quiet dude, not big on meowing, but he’s got plenty of ways to get your attention when needed. (Missed mealtime? Expect a dramatic table-clearing performance.) He’s past his wild kitten days but still enjoys a good feather wand session now and then. Most afternoons you'll find him lounging in a sunbeam in some impossibly goofy pose, clearly thinking he’s the star of a sitcom. The Buddy Basics: Age: Young adult (aka “teenage cat” phase) Personality: Loyal, silly, sunbeam-obsessed, semi-snuggler Litter trained: Yep! No issues at all. Good with: Small dogs, cat-savvy older kids Not a fan of: Big energetic dogs, hyper young children, being picked up too much Other pets: Would do fine solo, but could adjust to a calm companion with lots of adjustment time Quirks: Occasional “love bites” when overstimulated—he’s gentle, just communicative He also tolerates nail trims like a champ (as long as someone’s holding him), and has that perfect balance of independence and clinginess. He’ll let you live your life... but only if he can supervise. Buddy’s looking for a home where he can hang out with his human, get a few daily play sessions in, and spend his afternoons napping like a dramatic prince. If you’re ready for a loyal sidekick with a big heart and a slightly chaotic streak, Buddy might just be your guy. All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adoption application, phone interview, home visit, and adoption fee required (+ PA Sales tax). Adoption fees are: Baby (Kittens up to 1 year) = $125 Young & Adult (1-7 years) = $100 Seniors (8+ years) = $80 Please also read our Core Values prior to applying at www.furryfriendsnetwork.com/adopt/our-expectations. If you are interested in adopting a cat(s), we ask that you complete an on-line adoption application to get the process started. To apply, simply go to www.furryfriendsnetwork.com / Adopt a Furry Friend / Adoption Application. You will receive a welcome email once your application has been assigned to a volunteer processor (this should be within 72 hours of submitting an application). If you do not receive such an email, contact catapplication@furryfriendsnetwork.com. Once your application has been processed (this can take approx. 10-14 days), we will arrange contact with the foster to schedule a time to meet cats you might be interested in. We are an all-volunteer organization and appreciate your patience during this process. Foster Homes are needed in order to help more animals like this one.
