My story

Schookums was abandoned on a street corner. Thankfully a kind woman saw her at 6am on her way to work and stopped to grab her. She was freezing and starving. Schnookums has signs of multiple litters (lots of scar tissue from c-section deliveries). Her ear infection was so bad that it has caused her head to tilt. After treatment, it is improving but might be an ongoing issue that her adopter will need to keep an eye on. She had sores on her butt cheeks - maybe from sitting in filth? They are healing nicely and she is looking healthier every day. She is good with other dogs and dog savvy cats. She is fine with polite children. She is learning to do her business outside and realizing that she is not going to be forced to stay outside. Poor girl had probably never been indoors. We are making up for that. She has been sleeping in bed with her foster. She will sleep through the night.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Schookums, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
