My story

Hi, I’m Carly — your future best friend (and full-time goofball). ??I’m about 7 or 8 years old, and I’ve been with my first human family for almost five years now. They say I’m one of the most loving, silly, and loyal dogs they’ve ever met. I’ve got two different-colored eyes (pretty cool, right?) and a heart as big as my personality. They are having to leave the country soon and the travel and change would be too much for me.I’m happiest when I’m with my people — cuddling on the couch, going on walks, or just soaking up the sunshine together. I love the outdoors and long road trips (yep, I’ve traveled from the U.S. to Central America and back!). I do get a little nervous in the car at first, but give me a bit of time and I settle in like a pro.Now, I won’t lie to you — I’ve got my quirks. New places make me a little anxious, and I get really excited (okay, too excited) when I see other dogs while I’m on a leash. I’ve had some training, and my humans have tried really hard to help me with this, but it’s still a challenge. I might do best as your one-and-only furry friend. I’ve been around some dogs before and didn’t cause any trouble, but I didn’t really know how to play either. I’m still figuring that part out.But when it comes to humans? I love everyone. I’m gentle, affectionate, and incredibly sweet. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’ll be by your side through thick and thin, that’s me.I may not be the easiest dog, but I promise I’m one of the most rewarding. I just need someone patient, loving, and willing to meet me where I’m at. If you give me a chance, I’ll give you my whole heart.Love,Carly ??
