Hello, My name is Truffle and here is some information about me:Breed: Jack Russell TerrierAge: 3 years oldGender: female, spayedWeight: 9 lbsEnergy Level: moderateHighlights: happy, loving, submissive, missing a back legDog and cat-friendly I'm so happy to have caught your attention! I was born in California and I was found roaming the streets all by myself with a badly broken leg. I don't remember what happened to me, but it wasn't good. Unfortunately my leg was so damaged that the vet couldn't save it so it had to be amputated. It was a long recovery but I made it and I'm doing well with 3 legs. I run around and play like nothing is wrong. I'm a little underweight but my kind foster mom is helping me with that, I'm sure I will put on some weight in no time. I met other dogs, people and kids and I think they all are awesome. I live with many dogs, big and small in my foster home with no issues. I love to cuddle, I'm tiny and cute and fit well in your arms. I can't wait to meet you, imagine all the fun and cuddles that we can have this summer together! I've been through a lot in my short life, please adopt me! My adoption fee is $850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied directly to Vancouver. Basic training should be taken seriously but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if the dog is shown to be good with children we will approve homes with children 8 years or older.
