My story

Meet Sally, a 4-year-old spayed female Terrier mix with the softest cream-colored coat and a gentle heart to match. Weighing in at 6.5kg, Sally was rescued from a high-kill shelter in May 2024. Because of her shy nature, she had trouble finding a forever home—until a dedicated trainer stepped in to foster her. Thanks to that love and patience, Sally’s confidence has blossomed, and she now enjoys her walks and shows off her sweet, affectionate personality. Though she may be a little reserved at first, Sally warms up with a bit of time and a tasty treat. She’s been known to roll over for belly rubs and give gentle licks to new people—even on the very first meeting! Her loving nature really shines with children under 13; she’s calm, welcoming, and even allows them to lift her up with arms tucked under her belly. Truly a sweetheart! When it comes to other dogs, Sally is friendly and social—always ready to greet both old and new furry friends with a wag and a play bow. She tends to feel especially at ease around larger dogs and thrives in the company of other pups. High-energy dogs can be a bit much for her, but she never gets confrontational. She’s more of a peace-and-cuddles type of girl. Sally has a calm, low-energy vibe and prefers relaxing to romping around. During walks, she may seem a bit unsure, but don’t be fooled—she’s surprisingly brave and getting better every day. Cats don’t faze her either; she stays focused on her human even when one crosses her path, and she’s open to further cat testing if needed. This lovely girl doesn’t guard her food, shows no signs of separation anxiety, and is impressively quiet. She’s mostly house-trained and prefers doing her business outside.
