My story

I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog Adoption:19Meet Boxie — your next fetch partner, toy enthusiast, and loyal sidekick! At 4 years old and 70 pounds, Boxie is a big, goofy sweetheart with a love for play and a solid set of manners already in place. This brown pittie mix is toy-motivated (squeaky toys are his jam!) and absolutely lives for a good game of fetch—he’ll even toss the ball to you to keep the fun going. Boxie knows his “sit” and “down,” walks well once he gets going, and has been easy to handle in the shelter. While he can be a little forward when meeting other dogs, he’s polite and generally prefers to do his own thing. He’d do well as your one-and-only pup or with a calm, well-matched dog friend. He arrived at the shelter with an ear infection that’s been treated, but adopters should be prepared for regular ear care and vet checkups to keep him comfy and healthy.
