My story

Who has a heart of gold and is ready to share it with this lucky little girl? Baby Helen had a rough start. Born to a feral Mama she had a severe viral infection that attacked her eyes. At one time we thought she would lose her eyes and live a life in complete darkness. But with TLC this little one came through treatment with flying colors and was not only able to keep her eyes but retain partial vision! After months of the severe infection and blindness before she came to RescueMe, Helen is not used to seeing the world through her healthy eyes so she is nervous around sudden movements and people she doesn't know. She will need time and a calm and quiet home to feel comfortable - but trust me, she is worth it! Helen is a beautiful young lady who desperately wants to be held and feel safe with her person. But Helen's limited vision doesn't slow her down! Her favorite place is curled up in the blankets of a loft bed. And yes, she climbs up and down the ladder with ease! She also loves sitting in the window watching the birds. Her sister Anne is her best friend and when Helen could not use her eyes, Anne took the lead and used her meows to guide her. Helen would love to find a home with Anne who provides her love, comfort and support!
