My story

Estimated DOB: 6/16/24 Ernie was born in foster care. His mom, a young teen, was dumped on a lady’s property with a belly full of babies. She came to ACR and her babies were born in care. She struggled with an upper respiratory throughout the weeks leading up to having her babies. Sadly, when her babies were two weeks old, she started to decline and was rushed to the emergency vet. She was doing better the next morning, but when the rescue arrived to pick her up, she suddenly crashed and passed away. Her test results showed that the stress of having a large litter at a young age led to her decline, along with the upper respiratory infection. The babies were cared for by our bottle feeder. They also struggled with an upper respiratory infection that was passed on from their mom. While bottle feeding, Ernie became such a cuddle bug, and loved to be held. Due to his struggles, he has permanent issues with a watery eye. He’s been seen by the vet and it’s believed he’ll have random watery eye but doesn’t require medication. Ernie is a very sweet and loving boy. He truly loves humans of all ages and grew up in a foster home with a daycare. He loves to snuggle but he also loves to play. His favorite toy is the laser pointer. Ernie gets along great with cats and really enjoys playing with them. This boy is a little gem and deserves all the love!
