My story

Meet Flame, an adorable and smart 10-month-old dog who’s ready to light up your life! Flame weighs about 51 pounds and arrived at the shelter as a lost boy on 4/19/2025. It's clear his former family spent time teaching him—he already knows how to sit, shake, and lay down! Despite all that effort, they sadly didn’t come looking for him. Flame is quiet and well-mannered in his run, and he’s up to date on his vaccines. He will be neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested before adoption. Flame is currently waiting for his second chance at happiness in Run #25, ID 9483—come meet this good boy and see just how special he is! Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
