Meet Maam, a stunning spayed female border collie mix! She is young at 1-1.5 yrs old, and weighs about 45 lbs. Maam was a family dog whose family surrendered her to the shelter because they had to move and could not bring her with them. They were very upset and said she was the best dog. Maam is a super sweet and friendly girl! She is great with other dogs, people, and dog savvy kids. She has not been cat tested. Maam is a working breed dog, so a home with older kids or a family with herding dog experience would be preferred since she may naturally herd things/people. From Maam's current foster: "Maam is such the goodest girl!! So mellow and loves to play!! Walks great on a leash! She cries for a few minutes when you leave, but settles down quickly. Has not chewed anything! Uses pee pads when she has to go potty inside. Definitely needs a yard to run!!! She doesn’t care to have anyone watch her go potty, so definitely needs that yard! Absolutely loves car rides!!! Highly recommend she is not the only pup. She would do best with at least 1 playmate." She is medically up to date, housebroken (will also use a pee pad if provided), and crate trained (although she doesn’t love the crate). Apply to meet this cute gal today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2376446##
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Maam, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
