My story

This delightfully charming boy is Woofer, a terrier mix who came in as a stray on 4/27 to the Mesquite Animal Shelter. He weighs 66 lbs and is about 4 yrs old. My Dog Scanner app suggests American Pit Bull Terrier and American Bulldog in his breed mix. This lively and active fellow is a real sweetheart, friendly and perfectly good with being petted and loved on! And oh that smile!! He has a low-key personality and is well mannered. He loves treats, has been trained to sit for them and will take them nicely. He may be house trained because as soon as he got into the yard, he did his business and it was obvious he had held it for quite some time! He has the sweetest smile ever! When taken to the vet by a shelter staff person, it was discovered that Woofer is blind in one eye. However, it does not seem to cause any concern, nor does it seem to hinder him much from moving about freely. There is so much to like about this boy and I double dare you not to fall quickly and completely in love with him! He walks nicely on a leash. He is hoping his people will come for him and take him home, but if that does not happen is willing to settle in to a comfy cushy inside life with another person or family who will give him plenty of TLC and stay committed.
