Meet Xander! ❄️ Xander is a striking young Husky with a zest for life and a mind that loves a challenge! This handsome boy thrives on both physical activity and mental stimulation—so if you're looking for a hiking buddy, running partner, or just a four-legged adventurer to keep you on your toes, Xander’s your guy. 🏞️🐕 He has lived with other dogs before and loves to play, especially with friendly females. He can be a bit choosy when it comes to doggy pals, so a meet-and-greet with any potential canine siblings is a must. 🐶 Xander is looking for a patient, experienced home that understands the Husky mindset—intelligent, vocal, independent, and incredibly rewarding when understood. His ideal family will provide consistency, structure, and plenty of outlets for his energy. Due to his background, Xander may always need extra support with potty training, so patience and positive reinforcement are key. Xander would do best in an adult-only home or with older, dog-savvy kids, as he can be overwhelmed by too much commotion. He’s also used to spending time outdoors and would be happy in a home that offers a safe and enriching outdoor environment with plenty of interaction and love. He would be perfectly happy living outdoors during he day and have a new warm bed in the home at night. If you’re someone who understands Huskies and is ready to offer Xander the time, structure, and companionship he needs, you’ll find a loyal and spirited best friend in him. 🐾💙 Adopting with High Country Humane means your new pet is fixed, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped. We register that microchip (FREE!) and provide a free health exam with each adoption. Please bring a leash and collar for your new pet or plan to purchase a set at the shelter for $5 each. The shelter is open 11 AM - 5 PM, 7 days a week. We look forward to seeing you! 🐾
