My story

Bonded Pair: Mickey and Matthew. Mickey is a curious little adventurer with a heart as big as his personality. With his striking white-and-black coat and bright, inquisitive eyes, he’s always on the lookout for his next discovery—whether it’s what’s behind that mysterious door or how many times he can sprint through his tunnel in one minute flat. Sweet and funny, Mickey is the kind of cat who’ll make you laugh with his silly antics one moment and melt your heart the next. He loves being around his people, whether he's following you from room to room or popping up to offer a gentle head bump just because. His favorite toys? Colorful springs (perfect for pouncing) and his beloved tunnel, where he can zoom, hide, and plan his next sneak attack with expert precision. Mickey is ready to bring joy, laughter, and plenty of love into a home that enjoys a little curiosity and a whole lot of cat charm. Mickey was diagnosed with Asthma and Feline Hyperesthesia. The asthma is very controlled, and he hasn’t been on meds for quite some time. Feline hyperesthesia is a condition that causes sensitivity in Mickey’s tail. It causes him to excessively groom and twitch his tail. He does take medication for this, and for the most part, it’s controlled. On occasion, Mickey will sometimes go after his tail, and we can typically divert the behavior by playing or petting him. Currently, he takes prednisone and gabapentin orally in pill form once a day. Mickey is fine around older children and would prefer a quite home. Mickey is very bonded to his brother Matthew (FCID 11/10/2022-3) , and they MUST be adopted together.  Please check out this very short video:  https://www.youtube.com/shorts/sadteL7aIdw . Mickey and Matthew will be about 3 years old this Summer and are playing with their foster family.  Please submit our no-obligation application for a meet and greet or to adopt today: https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/ .  Thank you!  (Foster: Chris P.).April 29, 2025, 5:14 pm
