This is Phoebe. She is the sweetest, most affectionate kitty who loves to play all day and then curl up in a soft bed for a nap. While Phoebe is quite shy at first, once she gets used to you and more familiar with her environment, she is the most adorable and loving cutie.Phoebe will tell you when she wants something, whether it’s food, playtime or some pets, with the sweetest little meows and coos. Phoebe is very affectionate and loves to give head bunts and weave around and on top of you. She will sit on laps every so often for a cuddle and nap, but she is what I like to call a “mobile cuddler” where she prefers to show you love by rubbing herself all over you! Phoebe needs lots of playtime – multiple times daily for 15 minutes minimum per play session. It is highly recommended to give her a home with another young cat who is also very active so she can be happy and healthy. Phoebe has always been with other cats and was taken into foster care with her brother at 3.5 months old into a home with another cat. She needs a home where she can continue to have kitty companions and playmates.Phoebe loves her scratch toys, and it is recommended to give her lots of scratchers (horizontal and vertical), as she loves to supplement with paper towel rolls and assorted upholstery. Phoebe is still shy around new people and will hide at a moment’s notice when she is scared. To avoid losing her (she is a very good hider and loves finding “caves” to nap in) make sure closets, underneath beds, and other small corners are not accessible and instead give her “hidey holes” (enclosed cat beds, cat tree holes, etc.). This will also encourage her to be more interactive with new people and hopefully bring her out of her shell. If you live in a very lively home (lots of noise, many visitors, parties, drums player, etc.) Phoebe may not be the right kitty for you, as she is a scaredy cat when it comes to noise, equally, normal day-to-day noises are completely fine (cooking, talking, TV, music, smaller get-togethers).Phoebe must be adopted as a buddy to a friendly resident cat.Like all ACR cats, Phoebe has been treated for fleas and parasites and is up-to-date on vaccines.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Phoebe *MUST BE ADOPTED AS A B, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
