My story

Meet Rebel! Rebel is a 5 year old hound mix. He’s a pretty big guy. See the tie out connected to his collar? That’s a must for him. He allows his hound nose to follow a scent in which he will jump the gate to continue following the smell. He likes to “sing” the song of his people when he sees or hears something that intrigues him. He will do well with large dogs who have energy because he can play rough. We prefer a home without cats, due to him prancing around the cat while barking his head off. He will do great with kids!!** Rebel is in our care in Altoona PA. He is available for adoption. Each animal gets microchipped, spayed/neutered and vaccinated. The adoption fee covers those costs. Adoption fees are listed on the application. An application must be filled out in order to visit with any dog or cat. They can be found on our website www.centralpahumane.org under the Adopt A Pet tab or at the shelter. Our animals are posted on Facebook and Petfinder when time permits. A Petfinder inquiry is not an application, and they may not be responded to. We can only accept so many applications for each animal. We do adopt out of state, but we cannot hold the animal. **PA Kennel License #1333.
