My story

Est. DOB: 12/4/24 Chihuahua Mix Current Weight 8lbs    Say hello to Amy Rose, a petite bundle of love and energy looking for her forever home! At just 5 months old, Amy Rose already has a big personality packed into her tiny 8-pound frame. She’s sweet, affectionate, and absolutely adores all the people she has met  — including children — making her a wonderful addition to just about any family.  With her adorable, expressive ears and curious spirit, she’s sure to steal your heart!! Amy Rose is a lively little pup who loves to play, especially with her much larger 70 lb foster sibling! Despite her small size, she keeps up just fine and enjoys every minute of the action. After a good play session, she’s more than happy to snuggle up on the couch for some cozy cuddle time. Her curious nature means she loves to explore her surroundings, always eager to investigate new sights and smells. Amy Rose is crate-trained and does very well being crated for short periods (2–3 hours). She is progressing nicely with her house training and is getting better every day — with continued positive reinforcement, consistency, and lots of encouragement, she’s sure to master it soon (please expect an adjustment period when she moves to her new home)  One extra bonus: Amy Rose is not a barker, making her a peaceful companion both at home and in the neighborhood. She’s also the perfect size for adventures — whether it’s a road trip or just running errands, she would make a great little travel buddy!   She’s spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on all her vaccinations. As we are a foster based rescue, we do require a completed application to be submitted before we arrange a meet.  This can be found on our website at   https://almosthomepetrescue.org/apply-now-1     $200 adoption fee includes core vaccinations, rabies vaccination, heart worm test (in dogs over 8 months of age), microchip and registration, spay/neuter, wormer and flea and heart worm prevention while the dog is in our care. All breed, age,  and size categorizations are estimates.    If transporting out of state to available locations, the total adoption cost will be $500.
