My story

Sophia is a beautiful, mellow 3-year-old cattle dog/heeler mix with a heart full of love and eyes that will melt yours. She’s been through more than her fair share, but you’d never know it by the way she follows her person quietly around the yard, gently seeking out affection, and wagging her little docked tail when she sees someone she loves. This sweet mama was heartbreakingly close to being euthanized along with her 10 puppies. Thankfully, she was saved — and now she’s looking for a home that will give her the home she truly deserves! Sophia is laid-back, gentle, and quiet — not your typical high-energy heeler. She’s incredibly affectionate and smart, and while she hasn’t had formal training, she’s a fast learner and eager to please! She thrives being near her person and prefers open spaces or sleeping nearby rather than being in an enclosed crate (though she does fine in a large, open one when needed). Sophia would do best in a home where she’s either the only dog or with a well-matched dog friend. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will quietly brighten your days and make you smile with a tail wag, Sophia is waiting for you! Give her the home and love she has more than earned. 💕
