My story

MEET BUBBA! Big personality, little body, all vibes. This handsome guy is named Bubba! Bubba is reportedly around 16 years old (though could be younger) and found himself in Philly's animal control shelter when his former owner had to enter assisted living and was only allowed to bring one of their beloved cats with them. Bubba was pretty shut down from the stress of the shelter but has completely blossomed in foster care! In many ways, Bubba is your typical cat. He spends most of his day snoozing, loves to lounge in sun puddles and watch the world go by from the window sill, and absolutely loves to snuggle. He'll climb into your lap whenever you let him. What really adds to Bubba's charm is that despite having the grumpiest face, he is so chill, happy, and easy-going! He is currently living with a miniature small dog army and will give them a good swat if they're being annoying but it's half-hearted and lazy. He has lived with cats in the past and while we haven't seen him around kids, we have a feeling he'd be just fine since nothing really bothers him. Bubba will talk your ear off in the car but approaches vet visits with his usual chill attitude. He'll occasionally think about darting out the door but is otherwise a happy, easy housecat. Bubba has been fully vetted since coming to the rescue including having a full mouth extraction (FME) due to the condition of his teeth. He's currently on a mix of regular wet food and a dry sensitive stomach formula and has no trouble eating, in fact it's probably easier for him now without having to chew with painful choppers. The one thing Bubba can be picky about is how clean his litter box is. If it's not clean, he may poop outside of the box (he will still pee in the box regardless) so just something to keep in mind. This otherwise super easy guy is going to make one amazing companion! Bubba is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love! He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He is also FIV/FeLV negative. Interested in adopting him? Visit cityofelderlylove.org to complete an online adoption questionnaire!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt BUBBA, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
