My story

Hi there, I’m Sweetie — and the name couldn’t be more fitting. I’m a golden-brown Great Pyrenees mix with a heart full of love and a strong passion for naps. I’m a proud couch potato who’s happiest when I’m curled up near my people (or stealing the comfiest spot on the couch — it’s my superpower).I’ve lived with kids before and I’ve also lived with another dog! I do take a little time — about 1 to 2 weeks — to really settle in and feel comfortable in a new environment, but once I do, I’m all in with affection, loyalty, and the occasional belly rub request.Since I previously lived out in a pasture, I’m still working on perfecting my indoor manners. But I’m a smart girl and just need a patient, understanding home to help me along the way.I love keeping an eye on what the humans are doing (especially if it smells like snacks).I am currently heartworm positive, but the shelter is covering the cost of my treatment. All I really need is a quiet, cozy home to recover in — and someone who sees the gentle, goofy soul behind these big brown eyes.If you’ve got patience, love, and a comfy couch, I think we could be perfect together. Let’s take it slow, sweet, and steady.I am 5 years old, and 57.4 lbs.! I am full grown. I am a spayed female who is microchipped, heartworm tested and fully vaccinated. My adoption fee has been sponsored by a kind donor so I am FREE to go home!
