My story

Hello my gals and pals, it's sweetie Indigo here. I've come a long way since I was first rescued, one of many underweight and weary dogs taken in from another shelter and brought to BDRR Alabama to be taken care of. I'm still in need of a little time love and care (and snacks) but I have made leaps and bounds in my progress to recovery. If you're dedicated to giving lots of love to an older girl and you're a fan of shepherds, then look no further. I'm a gorgeous gal with soulful eyes and a very soft coat, perfect for pets and snuggles. I may have a little bit of gray in my snoot, but I still keep up well with my younger roomies. If you've got dog friends for me at home, I can't wait to meet them, but I do prefer to be the one in charge of the dog pack, and I am best suited to doggies of similar size. We older dogs still have strength to us, after all! We senior dogs do need extra care and dedication, especially shepherds like me. Older dogs don't always get adopted like the babies do, but I don't think that's fair. I know just how sweet and loving I am, and I'm hoping to share that with you. I believe that old dogs can learn new tricks, we just need longer naps after. I would love to make use of the free training session the Ranch will provide with adoption, mostly because that means I'll get lots of treats. If you're planning to swing by the Ranch, take a look! My fluffy tail will start wagging the moment I see you. My love is a true testament to how loyal and affectionate I am, even though I had a rough start in life. If you're willing to share your home and your couch with me for my retirement, I'll be the best friend you could ever ask for.
