My story

This lovely lady is Darla! She arrived at the shelter as a lost girl on 4/23, and no one has come to reclaim her. The shelter is a loud and overwhelming place to many dogs, including Darla. She has been shy since her arrival and spends much of her time hiding in her kennel. She is sweet once she warms up, and she knows how to sit nicely when asked. The volunteers have noted that she walks well on leash. If you have a soft spot for the shy kids, please come meet Darla. She needs a hero! Darla is approximately 2 years old and weighs 58 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines and has tested negative for heartworms. She will be spayed and microchipped upon adoption. Please come meet Darla in run 882; her ID # is 9539. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
