My story

Meet Bingham! Your future best friend (and full-time kisser). Bingham is a 3-year-old, 46-pound big-hearted goofball who’s ready to trade in his kennel for a cozy home—and someone to smother with love. This affectionate boy adores people and will greet you with a tail wag and a face full of enthusiastic kisses. He gets super excited coming out of his kennel, but once he's out and about, especially away from the hustle of the shelter, he settles beautifully. He walks well on leash in calm settings but can get a bit strong when he spots exciting distractions like squirrels, other pups, or new human friends (he wants to meet everyone). He may not be the best match for a home with cats, but he’s shown positive interest in other dogs and could do well with the right dog companion. Bingham loves to play—fetch, tug toys, you name it—and his goofy, joyful spirit makes playtime a blast. He’s also a rockstar in the car, hopping in and out easily and chilling quietly in the backseat like a seasoned road trip buddy. If you’re looking for a dog who’ll keep you laughing, join you on outdoor adventures, and shower you with affection (seriously, prepare for lots of kisses), Bingham just might be your guy. As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
