Sophi

My story

A27341 Sophie is a black colored, approximately 13-year-old, 14-pound, spayed female, Shih Tzu. She entered the shelter as an owner surrender 04-23-2025 due to the fact the elderly owner was in the hospital with serious medical issues. Sophie is a friendly, sociable and easy to handle girl here at the shelter. Our staff says she is super sweet and easy to handle girl that loves to be snuggled and loved on. She was easy to leash, but because she is a little chubby, she prefers to be carried over walking on a leash. She walked well on the leash, but very slow with frequent stops. She will need some training as she did not respond to any commands. But she is a nice polite girl. The previous owner says she is house broken, used a doggy door and has lived with other dogs, and cats, but not children. She has no interest in other dogs here at the shelter. However, she is housed with 2 other small dogs, and they get along fine. Mia will be a loyal, loving companion in her new home forever.
