My story

Sweet little Mercy is heartworm positive. This 7 year old Frenchie girl is going to spend the next few months undergoing expensive heartworm treatment. We would love for her to spend this time in her future forever home, rather than in our shelter, but we do not complete adoptions on animals until they have been medically cleared. In this situation, we do what is called a Medical Foster to Adopt. The right family will foster Mercy during her treatment, which is provided by us. Once she is cleared the adoption would be completed with that foster family and Mercy would then become a permanent member of their family.
