Microchipped, DOB: Oct 1, 2008 Meet Popple, or "Grandma Poppie" as her foster parents -- err, foster grandkids? -- affectionately call her. At 16 years young, Popple is searching for a place to live out her retirement days. Popple has a uniquely "crispy" meow that she uses to grab your attention, before she tilts her head towards you to politely ask for pets. You'll often find her lounging on soft cushions in her signature one-paw-out-loaf position, which makes her look like a chicken drumstick. Although she is not a fan sitting in laps, Popple will also never jump on your kitchen counters or wake you up with the zoomies at 3am (can't believe the "kids these days" even do that!). She will tolerate being held for short periods of time, but doesn't particularly enjoy it. Lastly, Popple loves routine - if her complementary meals are late, you can expect meows of complaints! Back in her day, Popple grew up with dogs and other cats so she knows how to stand her ground! We think she would be fine as the only cat in your household, or with another calm animal. Young kids that aren't as cat savvy should be careful not to overstep her boundaries - she will give a warning meow (sounds like an engine) when she's upset. Popple is very independent and is fine doing her own thing during the day. If you're looking for a chill, low-maintenance roommate, Grandma Poppie might be the cat for you! Thank you for welcoming a senior cat into your family - an adoption fee of your choice is appreciated, vs. our standard adult cat adoption fee of $225.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Popple, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
