My story

Foster or Foster-to-Adopt - Freckles is a sweet, gentle soul who deserves nothing more than a warm and loving home to call her own. Sadly, her dad was diagnosed with a terminal illness and, due to his health situation, had to make the heartbreaking decision to give her up. She has been living at Little Lake Pet Lodge since early November and, while the staff adore her, she is growing increasingly stressed and anxious and wants to share her life with a person or family. Freckles is a very low-key girl who just wants to be close to someone. Her nickname, “Freckelini,” reflects her princess-like personality. She loves snuggling up with people and could spend hours in your lap, soaking up the affection. She’s also dog and kid friendly, and would enjoy the company of other pets in her new home. She is spayed and up to date on all vaccinations and preventatives. She loves to go for leash walks and is very polite and friendly with everyone she meets on route. She is great with children too! Although she has health issues that require daily medication for epilepsy, her medication is manageable. Her food and medication will be covered by Anderson County Animal Rescue Foundation while in temporary foster home. We just want to see Freckles back in a home where she can feel safe and loved again. Her ideal forever home would be a quiet environment with a person or family who can offer her the care, attention, and affection she craves. Freckles is a true gem—everyone who meets her falls in love with her sweet demeanor and calm energy. If you’re looking for a snuggly companion who will adore you, Freckles could be the one.
