My story

Introducing Abbey! She was brought to the shelter on 4/17 because she was on a journey to find her way home. Abbey is only a year old and weighs a mere 45lbs. She was terrified of her surroundings upon arrival so she was placed in a quiet place so she could decompress better. She is still a little scared but has slowly settled and she loves to be outside on her walks. She is a bit sad and confused as to why she is here but we are hoping that she doesn't have to stay for very long. Abbey is a super smart kiddo as she knows simple commands such as lay down. She is hoping for a loving and trusting family who is willing to take the time to gently help her decompress from shelter life and be super patient as she continues to comes out of her shell. Her personality will shine through because we know its there. She is an amazing kiddo and we believe in her very much. Do you have some time to get to know Abbey? She would like to be your cuddle bug every single day. She just wants to be loved and appreciated and have a second chance at a better home and life. She would love that very much and we hope you will too. Abbey is current on vaccines, will be spayed, micro chipped upon adoption. She will be tested for heartworms also upon adoption! She is also great with kids, and is dog and cat friendly too! Perfect package! She will be patiently waiting for you to take her home and love her unconditionally in Run 404 and her ID is 9438. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
