My story

Athena, a true goddess, surprises all who meet her with her gorgeous sable coat and stunning athletic ability. She is beautiful to watch run, she’s sleek, nimble and fast and is really something to watch! She came to us from Oklahoma and is thought to be an approximately 2 year old Black Mouth Cur/Weimaraner mix. Athena is a medium sized dog who loves to play with both other dogs and humans and is new to cats but shows no aggression! She gets along swimmingly with literally everyone and everything she’s met, she’s an absolute gem!! She is also housetrained - no accidents in her foster home yet! Her bright personality and energy make her the perfect addition to any home. Whether you're looking for a new best friend to take on outdoor adventures or a cuddly buddy to snuggle up with on the couch, Athena is the dog for you. She’d do best with another dog in the home to show her the ropes, but would be fine as a solo dog as well. With her athletic ability, shes also got great hops, so we would recommend a home that can teach her fence line boundaries as she could easily clear one if she wants to.
