My story

Meet Blue, a vibrant three-year-old Australian Shepherd from Severance, CO, whose heart is as boundless as her energy and whose dazzling blue eyes are just the beginning of her charm! At 47 pounds of playful spirit and unwavering loyalty, Blue is a classic Aussie through and through—smart, active, and deeply attached to her people. She's the kind of dog who insists on sleeping at your feet (or preferably curled right next to you in bed), and she lives for those heartwarming moments of connection—whether it’s cuddling on the couch or zooming across the yard in a burst of happy energy. Blue thrives in the great outdoors and would be thrilled to find a family who loves hiking, jogging, or tossing a frisbee on a sunny afternoon. She knows “sit” and “stay,” and while she hasn’t had formal training, her eagerness to please makes her a wonderful candidate for learning even more, especially through positive reinforcement and routine. Her ideal home? One where she can be the center of attention. Blue does not do well with other animals or young children, so she’ll need to be the one and only fur-child in a home where adults understand her boundaries and are ready to give her the one-on-one love she needs. With no other pets competing for her attention, Blue blossoms into a loving, affectionate shadow who simply wants to be with her people every step of the way. She’s house-trained, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all her vaccinations. Her coat is stunning—a classic tricolor Aussie with a silky sheen—and only needs professional grooming a couple of times a year. She handles short separations well, though she'd really prefer to be wherever you are, living life side-by-side. Blue is more than ready for a fresh start in a calm, dog-free environment where she can shine. She has so much love to give and is ready for her next home filled with patience, adventure, and plenty of belly rubs.
