My story

Nova is looking for a loving foster home to help her recover while she is receiving medical treatment. Foster Reason: Upper Respiratory Infection (URI), Heartworm Positive, Elevated Liver Enzymes Foster Time Frame: 2 Weeks Recheck 5/13(The foster time frame could be longer depending on future medical results and needs.) Foster Care Plan: Nova is currently taking 2 medications for an upper respiratory infection and for elevated liver enzymes. The respiratory infection is similar to a common cold. Since she may be contagious to other pets, we strongly recommend keeping her separated from other dogs until she has fully recovered. She has begun the first step in her heartworm treatment, which consists of 30 days of antibiotics. She will be scheduled to return in 2 weeks for a recheck to have her lab work repeated. We will provide a medical consultation at your pickup appointment so you are ready to confidently care for this sweet girl! Foster to Adopt: Nova is available through our Foster to Adopt program, which allows pets awaiting or undergoing medical treatment to be placed with prospective adopters before they are made available for adoption.
